The White County Single Parent Scholarship Fund, Inc. (WCSPSF, Inc.) was named the 2024 recipient of the AFMC PACEs Resilience Award—an honor that includes a $500 donation recognizing their dedication to building resilience and opportunity in Arkansas families.
Since 1999, WCSPSF, Inc. has provided 845 scholarships totaling over $559,000. AFMC's scholarship donation helped fund a scholarship for Staci, a single mother of two and nursing student at ASU-Beebe.
“[Staci] has asked me to express to AFMC her deep appreciation for the scholarship,” said Dan Newsom, executive director of WCSPSF, Inc.
“We are very grateful to AFMC and appreciate their partnership with us as we strive to provide hope and change lives through education for our single-parent families in White County.”
The PACEs Resilience Award is presented each year at AFMC’s ACEs & Resilience Summary to spotlight organizations doing powerful work in preventing and responding to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
AFMC remains committed to supporting community leaders and nonprofits that empower Arkansans through trauma-informed, community-centered initiatives.
