ImmunizeAR is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving Arkansas vaccination rates through education, advocacy, and statewide partnerships. Each year, they recognize the impactful work of healthcare professionals in preventing the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases.
Tiffany Holland and Nicole Bonecutter, managers of AFMC’s outreach quality department, accepted the ImmunizeAR 2024 Outstanding Adult Immunization Award on behalf of the AFMC outreach quality team, given to individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to protecting adults from vaccine-preventable diseases.
Tiffany oversees AFMC’s collaboration with TMF Quality Institute in the Quality Innovation Network–Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) work, providing quality improvement assistance to Arkansas healthcare providers. AFMC supports providers to identify and use evidence-based best practices for patient care, including vaccinations and immunizations, allowing patients to stay healthy and improve health outcomes.
Nicole’s oversees a team working with nursing homes across the state, promoting and training homes on infection prevention and control. This includes encouraging vaccinations and immunizations for flu, pneumonia, and COVID-19 for those in long-term care settings. Nicole’s team also provides support for the CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network database, assisting facilities input and utilize data for reporting vaccines and infections.
