AR Medicaid, ARKids First A, and ARKids First B benefits must be renewed every year.
Once you've been approved for AR Medicaid, ARKids First A, or ARKids First B, you'll be enrolled for one year.
Check your email. You will receive a renewal notice letter from the Arkansas Department of Human Services (AR Medicaid) about 1-2 months before your renewal date. You will receive a renewal notice each year. The yearly renewal allows you to add family members, update your contact information, such as telephone number, and update any changes to your income over the past year.
It's very important to complete the renewal process so you don't have a break in your AR Medicaid coverage.
If you fail to send in your renewal on time, you will lose coverage. You will have to complete a new application for yourself and/or your children with AR Medicaid.
If you find it hard to fill out your renewal paperwork or have any questions, we can help you.
Have you moved?
If you’ve changed your address since you enrolled in AR Medicaid, it’s possible that you won’t get your renewal notice. Be sure to keep your address information up to date. You can do this by calling the AFMC Service Center at 888-987-1200, logging in to your Access Arkansas account, or visiting your local DHS office.
