Trauma-informed training helps participants understand how adverse experiences and chronic stress affect brain development, behavior, health, and relationships. The course introduces the principles of trauma-informed care-safety, trust, choice, collaboration, and empowerment-and practical strategies for responding in supportive, non-retraumatizing ways. This approach is grounded in research on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and resilience, which shows that trauma-informed environments improve engagement, reduce behavior challenges, and support healing. By shifting perspectives from “What's wrong?” to “What happened?” communities become more compassionate, effective, and resilient.
