Medicaid Conference 2019

AFMC’s 2019 annual Arkansas Medicaid Educational Conference will be Tuesday, Dec. 17, at the Embassy Suites Little Rock, 11301 Financial Centre Parkway.

This FREE conference will feature a variety of speakers who will provide updates on Medicaid programs and initiatives. Topics will include an Arkansas Medicaid update, provider enrollment updates, AFMC review services, Medicaid quality improvement, patient centered medical home, SHARE, ConnectCare, DXC 101 and advanced billing, substance use disorder and PASSE.

Physicians, hospital staff, billers and staff working with Medicaid patients are welcome to attend. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m.; conference begins at 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Lunch is included, noon -1:15 p.m.

First DPSQA Conference

The Arkansas Department of Human Services’ Division of Provider Services and Quality Assurance (DPSQA) will present its first conference Wednesday, Dec. 18, also at Embassy Suites Little Rock.

This FREE conference is designed for home and community-based service providers, outpatient behavioral health providers and other providers (and their staff) certified through DPSQA.

At the Wednesday conference, Cindy Gillespie, secretary of the Arkansas Department of Human Services, will provide an overview of Arkansas’ human services beginning at 8:45 a.m. Jerry Sharum, DPSQA director, will provide updates on the DPSQA program.

Lunch will be provided at noon. After lunch the afternoon session will feature three breakout sessions providing updates for:

  • Aging and Adult Services
  • Outpatient Behavioral Health Services
  • Developmental Disabilities Services
