You won’t want to miss the annual Governor’s Quality Award Healthcare Seminar on Tuesday, June 20 at the Embassy Suites, Little Rock. This year’s theme is “Engaging Arkansans for Better Healthcare Outcomes.”
Glenn Crotty, MD and executive vice president and COO of the Charleston Area Medical Center in West Virginia, is the featured speaker. He will discuss “Transforming Care Together: Elements of Excellence” at 9 a.m. To improved health outcomes, his medical center has focused on organizational performance. He will describe the innovative “Transforming Care Together” process for redesigning care delivery and how to engage employees in strategic planning. Dr. Crotty is also the 2015 Baldrige National Quality Award recipient.
Chad Rodgers, MD and chief medical officer for Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, will discuss “Patient Engagement and the Power of the Portal” at 10:30 a.m.
At 11 a.m., Angie Norman, Doctor of Nursing Practice and clinical assistant professor in the UAMS College of Nursing, will present “Onset Dementia: Creating Well Informed Communities.”
“The Box” is the title of Gerald Cantrell’s presentation at 1 p.m. He is the director of paramedic services at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home.
The seminar will conclude with Marcy Doderer, president and CEO of Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, who will discuss “LeadStrong” at 2 p.m.
